Recycling Metals

Our junk removal company takes great pride in the recycling efforts that we provide. Not only will it help the landfills in Las Vegas but it provides a way to reuse metal. As we collect junk and trash from commercial and residential jobs we spend time at the shop separating everything that can be donated or recycled. Recycling metal is a big part of what we do. We store the metal in the shop piece by piece. From one job we may not have a lot of metal to recycle but after a couple weeks of jobs we end up with a trailer full of metal to take to the local metal recycle location in the Las Vegas area. We do this approximately 2 to 3 times a month. When we go to the metal recycle center we dump approximately 1000 pounds of metal saving the landfill approximately 24,000 pounds a year or 12 tons of metal.

The benefits of recycling are numerous, recycling and reusing materials such as metal, saves energy, conserves natural resources, prevents pollution and reduces the volume of metal that is discarded into our landfills. All which have long term benefits for our society.  Proper metal recycling prevents pollution and keeps people healthier and is good for the economy.

The recycled materials that the industry processes into raw material feedstock every year are used for industrial manufacturing around the world.  In 2008, the United States exported $28.6 billion-roughly 44 million metric tons-of scrap commodities, which contributed significantly to U.S. trade balances.
